CRABS PEDICULOSIS PUBIS

Crabs Pediculosis Pubis, is a parasitic infection of the skin around the pubic area, but can affect the armpits, eyelashes, eyebrows and buttocks. It is presents with severe itching and redness of the pubic area. The itching is due to the presence of papules, which are small elevations of the skin.

Treatment of CRABS

Patients and sexually partners should be treated with Permethrin 5% shampoo. This should be repeated within a week.
