Skin Embryology

Description of the development and morphogenesis of skin and all its components throughout the trimesters of pregnancy. All skin components are usually well developed by the end of the first trimester, with the exception of appendages which develop in the second trimester. Many of the molecular regulators of skin embryology are seen to be mutated in certain forms of skin diseases, such as cancer.
