Epidemiology of Psoriasis
It is believed that 2-3% of the worlds population have psoriasis. In about one third of these patients, psoriatic arthritis is also seen. Peaks in the prevalence of psoriasis have also been proposed by many, even though psoriasis can present at anytime in life. This peaks are in the 20-30 and 50 age groups.
