Epidermal Cyst

EPIDERMAL CYST

An epidermal cyst is a non-malignant, benign subcutaneous cyst which is filled with cells from the upper layer of the skin, epidermal cells. The cyst is filled with these cells which give it a waxy material interior. These cysts have no clinical differences from sebaceous cysts, and should be removed surgical, by either a dermatologist or more so, a plastic surgeon.
