Mohs surgery is named after the famous Dr.Mohs who invented this skin saving technique. Mohs surgery is a surgical technique in which repetitive thin excisions of the skin are done, until there is microscopic clearance of the tissue of disease. This retains the diseased / damaged skin, thereby preventing the need for skin loss and grafting in areas such as the face, where skin retention is crucial.
