Seborrheic eczema, also known as seborrheic dermatitis, is another form of dermatitis caused by the commensal (normally lives on the skin of humans) yeast Malassezia furfur (Pityrosporum ovale). Seborrheic dermatitis has both infantile and adult forms, and affects the scalp, ears, face, trunk and skin folds.
